Privacy and purchases

Brain Dump records and transcribes on your device. Voice notes never leave your iPhone. If you are signed in to iCloud, transcripts sync through your own private iCloud, which we cannot see.

Purchases and restores

Brain Dump Pro is an auto-renewing subscription processed by Apple and checked with RevenueCat using an anonymous ID. We never receive your Apple ID or payment details. If premium access does not appear after purchase, use the restore purchases option inside the app, then restart the app. Subscription cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple from iOS Settings or reportaproblem.apple.com.

Data and permissions

Transcripts, tags and park-for-tomorrow flags sync through your private iCloud container when iCloud is on. Audio files stay on the device.

Microphone: Records your dumps. Used only while the record screen is open.
Speech recognition: Transcribes your dumps on-device with Apple Speech. Audio is not sent to Apple or to us. If on-device transcription is not available for your language, the voice note is still saved without a transcript.
