Free to download. Optional in-app purchases.

From download to doing
Make it yours in three steps.
Start with a photo
Use your camera or choose a photo from your library. You can try the identifier for an unknown piece or enter a name you already know.
Compare possible matches
Review the suggested name and alternatives, then compare them with the encyclopaedia. Choose a suggestion or enter the details yourself.
Keep the details with the stone
Save the photo, name, where it came from and your notes. The identification is a starting point; your collection keeps the context you want to remember.

What is free in Crystal Index?
The full reference guide, up to five saved crystals in your personal collection and five identifications to try are included in the free tier.
Can a photo confirm a crystal's identity?
A photo can help narrow down possible matches. Crystal Index's identifier is a reference aid, so compare the result with the guide rather than treating the suggestion as a confirmed identification.
Can I use the identifier in my browser?
This page introduces the iPhone app; it is not an online photo upload tool. Download Crystal Index from the App Store, then add a camera or library photo inside the app to try identification.
Is this a guide or a collection manager?
Both. You can use the encyclopaedia on its own, or save the actual pieces you own with photos and notes. Premium adds custom collections and more collection tools.
